Las Vegas- Kevin Harvick goes back to back and picks up a win in the Playoffs opener, keeping his momentum alive

Richmond- The short track king, Kyle Busch breaks his winless “drought” and moves on to the second round of the playoffs

Charlotte Roval- MTJ finishes the deal he should have last season and wins at the Roval, thanks to Jimmie Johnson not being in his way this time. Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola, Ryan Newman, and Alex Bowman don’t have what it takes to move on to the Round of 12.

Round of 12

Dover- Martin Truex Jr. holds of "spoiler" Jimmie Johnson to win at Dover once again to advance to the Round of 8.

Talladega- Young William Byron capitalizes on his Hendrick Motorsports Superspeedway speed and takes his first career checkered flag, thus putting a surprise driver in the Round of 8.

Kansas- Denny Hamlin wins another race for Joe Gibbs Racing to secure his spot in the next round. Joey Logano sneaks in on points, but his fellow Penske teammates Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney are eliminated. The Chip Ganassi Racing duo of Kurt Busch and Kyle Larson see their playoff runs come to an end as well

Round of 8

Martinsville- Hamlin continues his domination and wins again to secure the first spot at Homestead.

Texas- Harvick, after heating up at the right time, wins at Texas to take spot number two in the finale.

ISM Raceway- Kyle Busch punches his ticket win another win in Phoenix. MTJ guarantees three JGR cars in the finale with a strong points round. It’s the end of the line for Byron, Chase Elliott, defending series champ Joey Logano, and the final JGR driver, Erik Jones.

Championship 4

Homestead- Denny Hamlin dominates the race, but Kyle Busch does what he does best and capitalizes on a late-race restart to bring home his second Cup championship and become the first repeat champion in the elimination format era.
